• History

CINENOVA redefines historical documentaries … feature film production values, stunning recreations, rare archive and finely-honed storytelling bring the past vibrantly to life. Series productions including The “True Story” strand, Searching for Lost Worlds, Great Adventures of the 20th Century, Shipwreck!, National Geographic Adventures, and Women Adventurers, unfold some of the most thrilling stories of all time.

• Science

CINENOVA’s in-depth research at the cutting-edge of science, great storytelling and remarkable visual and special effects characterize its science programming. Escape From Earth is a spectacular voyage into the future of space travel. The Coming Disasters are the true, and frightening, scientific possibilities behind Hollywood blockbusters like "Deep Impact" and "Outbreak". Humans: Who Are We?, is a powerful retelling of the greatest story ever -- human evolution. Aliens: Are We Alone? considers the probability of intelligent life in the universe.

• Exploration

CINENOVA is a master at live-action specials taking viewers into new worlds. Location shooting, and penetrating investigative journalism make our series Shipwreck! and Nuclear Submarine Adventures ratings- and award-winners. Our Frank Goddio specials, including Cleopatra’s Palace, seen in a simulcast by 30 million people around the world. Raising the Kursk is our latest production innovation : delivering near term “instamentary” with NBC, and a full documentary for Discovery.

The Perfect Pitch:

We are particularly interested in working with well-educated, literate people with a strong interest in and respect for research and story. Folks who understand that Google is the beginning of story development, not the end. People with an ability to understand that, if they have limited actual production experience, that even the very best ideas need to be developed and produced for major broadcasters by experienced people. We will happily work on good ideas with inexperienced people, but their expectations must be realistic. We can provide excellent learning experiences and solid production credit going forward.
