Karen McClellan
Among her most recent accomplishments, Karen was a writer and consulting producer on WILD ROSES, a new CBC one hour drama series; as well as Executive Story Editor and on-set supervisor for BEING ERICA, another new one hour drama for the CBC. Both series premiere January 2009. Additionally, 2008 saw two movies Karen wrote hitting the small screen with BRIDAL FEVER for Hallmark (airing on W Network in Canada), and WILL YOU MERRY ME, a “gevelte fish-out-of-water” romantic comedy debuting on Lifetime and Superchannel in time for the 2008-09 holiday season
Her previous credits include: writer and co-producer for one-hour college drama, THE BEST YEARS; as well as writing and story-editing diverse half-hour shows ROBSON ARMS, ALICE, I THINK, and SHOW ME YOURS.
Karen holds a MFA in Screenwriting from the American Film Institute where she won the Alfred P. Sloan Award for her Sci-Fi feature screenplay EVE TOO. In 2003, she completed the CTV Primetime Television Residency Program at the Canadian Film Centre. She is also an alumnus of the National Screen Institute’s Totally Television program.
